I have mainly been studying underground water at Kumamoto University. As the program allows me to obtain a degree in English, I can gain a deep knowledge and understanding of the subject without any problems. Kumamoto Prefecture has its own unique system regarding the management and conservation of underground water. Therefore, my study at Kumamoto University will greatly benefit my home country. |
The reason I came to Kumamoto is to improve my Japanese skills even more, experience the real Japan and learn more about Japan. I mainly study Japanese language in classes, but I am also able to choose some technical lessons. The lessons are challenging but fun. |
The newly refurbished library is very smart. I often visit the library to look for research literature, have a meeting with friends to prepare for a presentation, and I sometimes read newspapers and magazines there. I’ve sometimes come across very old, rare books at the library. |
Kumamoto University boasts a high employment rate after graduation. I received recommendations for both employment and postgraduate study from my teacher. Thanks to my teacher’s recommendations, I could relax and look for a job, as well as carry on studying at the university. I will start working at a domestic Japanese company from April. |
There is an Islamic mosque near the university, where we get together on Fridays. Close to the mosque there is a Halal shop. It is a great help to have an Islamic community nearby. |
