\u3000The Spring Program offered by the College of Cross-Cultural and Multidisciplinary Studies at Kumamoto University provides international students who have an interest in studying abroad in Japan with a chance to experience life as an international student at Kumamoto University.<\/p>\n

This program will be conducted in English.<\/p>\n

\u3000Kumamoto University, with educational excursions around Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan<\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/h1>\n

Participation in this program is open to students who:<\/p>\n

\u3000\u2605are undergraduate students studying at universities with which Kumamoto University has agreement for academic or student exchange<\/p>\n

\u3000\u2605have English language proficiency equals to or greater than IELTS Score 5.0<\/p>\n

\u3000\u2605have not previously participated in any of Kumamoto University\u2019s Summer or Spring Programs<\/p>\n

\u3000\u2605have or will obtain travel insurance before departing for Japan<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

*Please note a minimum of 20 students are required to implement the program. Program capacity is limited to 90 students.<\/p>\n

Program Fee<\/h1>\n

\u3000100,000 Japanese Yen<\/p>\n

\u25cb includes accommodation, class fees, field trip fees, and breakfast.<\/p>\n

\u00d7 does not include the cost of transportation to or from Japan, the cost of transportation within Japan, or the cost of meals (other than breakfast) during the program.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u3000\u2605In principle, the participation fee should be collected at the sending university and wire transferred to Kumamoto University account by Friday, November 29, 2019. Cancellations after this date are subject to cancellation fees. Students who do not make the payment by the set deadline will not be accepted to the program.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Scholarship<\/h1>\n

\u3000Participants in the English Course of the Spring Program may apply for a scholarship of 80,000 Japanese Yen, provided by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) and Kumamoto University. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must meet the following 3 conditions:<\/p>\n

\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u2605Only students from the following countries are eligible to apply:<\/p>\n

\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, Nepal, Cambodia<\/p>\n

\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u2605Students must have a GPA greater than or equal to 2.3<\/p>\n

\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u2605Scholarship recipients may not receive any other scholarships for this program which exceed 80,000 Japanese Yen.<\/p>\n

\u3000Please note that there are a limited number of scholarships available. Scholarships will be awarded based on the GPA scores of applicants.<\/p>\n

Notification of Selection Result<\/h1>\n

\u3000The selection results will be sent to applicants and the Universities via e-mail after the deadline of application(2019.10.31.)<\/p>\n

Visa<\/h1>\n

\u3000An entry visa to Japan is required for students from certain countries. As soon as selection<\/p>\n

results are determined, related visa documents will be sent to the responsible persons at your university. Please apply for your visa as soon as possible at the nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate.<\/p>\n
